Our family has been raising cattle in the same mountain valley ranch for 7 generations. This native grassland was once an ancient lakebed, and the native grasses are rich and varied with natural artesian springs. Our cattle grow fat and sleek in the most natural way, start to finish. There is no need for antibiotics or hormones.
Over generations, we have adapted our practices so that our cattle are raised as stress free as possible. Cattle form strong relationships
with other herd members. We keep them in the same herd their entire lives. Weaning calves is stressful, so we promote self weaning, without separating calves from their mothers. Shipping is extremely stressful to cattle, and many become sick as a result. Our cattle are never shipped. Slaughtering is done by a professional on the ranch.
Since we are a single family operation, our herd size is limited to our capabilities.
We have far more grass than our herd requires! We are able to provide many options for you. We have small and large animals. New to grass fed beef? Starter packs are possible. Since we generally work with one butcher, your choices of cuts, fat content of ground beef, and package size is up to you. Even dry aging time can vary.
Animals or portions must be purchased prior to butchering.
